2011 Season (Freshman): Game-By-Game Statistics . . . appeared in 14 games including five appearances in the outfield and entered as pinch runner one nine occasions…tallied one hit on four at bats…successfully stole one base….had one RBI against LSSU (4/8)...Signed with the Bulldogs during last November's early-signing period.

High School: Earned All-Big 16 Conference plaudits the past three (2007-09) seasons at St. Joseph (Mich.) High . . . Graduated in 2010 . . . A three-year starter on head coach Jeff Luckritz's team . . . Recorded a .320 hitting average in her 2008 junior season after batting .388 with a .543 slugging percentage and a .437 on-base percentage as a sophomore in the 2008 campaign . . . Received all-district laurels in 2008 . . . Hit for a .285 average in 2007 freshman season . . . Involved in school's Spanish and Key Clubs . . . Served as a senior mentor along with being the sports editor of high school newspaper . . . Played for the Great Lakes Lightning Club Team the last three summers under coach Tony Hamann.

Personal: Born in Akron, Ohio . . . Daughter of Michael and Susan Wittman . . . Her father is a University of Miami (Fla.) Athletics Hall of Fame inductee in basketball and was drafted by the National Basketball Association's (NBA) St. Louis (Mo.) Hawks in 1967 . . . Emily is her first name but prefers "Alex" . . . Her younger sister (Colby) inked with Ferris State during the November 2010 signing period and will officially join the FSU Softball program this upcoming fall . . . Majoring in political science.
