FSU Women To Face Urbana For First Time

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's basketball team will play its final non-conference game of the year when the Bulldogs travel to Urbana (Ohio) for the first-time ever on Wednesday (Feb. 23) evening.

Tipoff against the Blue Knights is set for 6 p.m. (ET) and will take place inside Urbana's Warren G. Grimes Center.

There will be no Bulldog Sports Network broadcast of Wednesday's game, however, Urbana will provide live internet statistics along with a live video webcast of the game.  Fans can also follow periodic FSU twitter and facebook scoring updates.

Ferris State presently holds a 11-13 overall record to date this year and the Bulldogs are 7-11 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.  Meanwhile, Urbana is currently 10-14 overall this campaign as a Division II independent school.

Following Wednesday's game at Urbana, the Bulldogs will return home to host rival Grand Valley State in the regular-season finale on Saturday (Feb. 26) at Jim Wink Arena in Big Rapids.  The women's game is set for 3 p.m. (ET) as the second part of a men's and women's league doubleheader and it will also serve as the squad's Senior Day contest.

Saturday's game versus Grand Valley State will be broadcast live locally by Sunny 97.3 FM in Big Rapids and also streamed online via the Bulldog Sports Network.
