Bulldog Women's Golf Starts In Sixth Place After Day One At Bing Beall Fall Classic

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf squad opened up action in the William "Bing Beall" Classic hosted by the University of Findlay on Monday (Oct. 2) in sixth place overall following the first two rounds of action in Findlay, Ohio.

FSU shot a first-round 313 score followed by a 302 total and is at +39 overall with a 615 figure. A total of 14 schools are competing in the annual event with the University of Indianapolis presently in first place at 587 overall followed closely by host Findlay in second at 588.

The final round of the 54-hole event will take place on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs were led by Kamryn Shannon in a share of ninth place on the leaderboard with a two-round 147 figure. She shot a 77 in round one and a 70 in the second round.

FSU's Dani Staskowski posted a 152 score for the opening two rounds, shooting 78 in round one and 74 in round two, and is presently tied for 22nd overall.

Meanwhile, Lizzie Anderson is in a share of 28th place with a 154 figure on rounds of 78 and 76 during Monday's first 36 holes of competition.

Ferris State's Abby Grevel carded an 80 in the opening round and an 82 in round two for a first-day 162 score, which sits tied for 49th individually.

Also, Taylor Musselman notched a 164 total for the two rounds on scores of 79 followed by 85 for a share of 55th place overall.

FSU's Hallie Crozier also competed and is 69th in the field at 170 overall, carding an 86 in round one and an 84 in round two.

Final Round play is set to start at 9 a.m. (ET) on Tuesday.
