Bulldog Women's Golf Holds Day One Lead In Final Fall Competition

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team got off to a strong start and holds the lead after the first round of its final fall competition at the Bill Crabtree Invitational held Sunday (Oct. 22) in Owensboro, Ky.

FSU carded a 303 team figure, shooting +15 for the day at The Pearl Club. Ferris State's 303 score was one better than Drury (Mo.), which sits second with a 304 score. McKendree (Ill.) is third following a 309 effort in the 15-team field.

Ferris State's Kamryn Shannon shot a one-under par 71 on the par 72 layout and is tied for first overall after round one.

FSU's Hallie Crozier shot a 76 on Sunday and is tied for ninth place on the leaderboard with Aspen Sugars tied for 13th as she notched a 77 in round one.

The Bulldogs' Lizzie Anderson carded a 79 over the first 18 holes of play and is tied for 20th with Dani Staskowski tied for 26th. She shot an 80 in the first round.

Finally, Abby Grevel finished with an 82 in the opening round and is tied for 41st overall.

Final round play is set for Monday (Oct. 23) in Owensboro.
