
Bulldog Women's Golf Sits Eighth After First Two Rounds At Beall Fall Classic
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team hit the links on Monday (Sept. 30) for the opening round of the annual Findlay Beall Fall Classic in Ohio and currently sits eighth overall entering the final round.
The Bulldogs carded scores of 309 in round one and 300 in round two for a 609 total thru the opening 36 holes of play. The final round is set for Tuesday.
Host Findlay paced the field in day one competition with a 579 score followed by Missouri-St. Louis (583) and Tiffin (599) in the top three overall. A total of 18 teams are taking part in the two-day, 54-hole tournament at the Findlay Country Club.
Individually, Taylor Musselman led the way for Ferris State as she sits tied for 17th place overall at +5 thru two rounds. She notched a four-over 76 in round one and a one-over 73 in the second round.
The Bulldogs' Lizzie Anderson is presently tied for 24th in the field at 152 overall, notching a 77 in round one and a 75 in the second round.
Meanwhile, Kamryn Shannon shot scores of 77 in the first round and 76 in the second round for a 153 figure and is tied for 28th on the leaderboard.
FSU's Hallie Crozier finished with a 76 in the second round after an opening-round 79 total and is tied for 41st with a 155 score after the first two rounds of play.
Finally, Kylie Walker came in tied for 61st following day one play with a 158 showing, carding scores of 82 in round one and 76 in the second round.
Ferris State's Ashley Thomasma competed as an individual and is tied for 66th on the board with a two-round, 159 total. She notched a 75 in the first round before closing with a 84 over the second 18 holes of play.
The final round is slated to begin on Tuesday at 9 a.m. (ET).
