
Bulldog Women's Golf Finishes Fall Season With 10th-Place Team Finish In Florida

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team concluded its fall season with a 10th-place overall team finish at the Saint Leo Invitational, which wrapped up on Tuesday (Oct. 22) in Dade City, Fla.
The Bulldogs shot a three-round 910 team figure with scores of 306 in round one and 296 in round two on Monday before notching a 308 in the third and final round on Tuesday at the Lake Jovita Golf Country Club.
The field of 11 schools consisted of all southern schools with the exception of the Bulldogs. A total of eight teams in the field were ranked among the nation's top 30, including FSU. The number one team in the country, Anderson (S.C.), won the event with an 852 figure followed by host and 17th-ranked Saint Leo (869).
Ferris State was led by Kamryn Shannon, who finished tied for 22nd in the field with a 223 overall figure. She shot a 75 in round one before notching a 72 in the second round and a 76 in the third.
The Bulldogs' Hallie Crozier carded a 225 total and tied for 29th overall with scores of 75 and a career-best 72 in Monday's action. She closed with a 78 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, FSU's Lizzie Anderson fired a 229 score and tied for 42nd in the field. Her rounds included a 75 in the first followed by back-to-back 77 scores in the second and third rounds.
Freshman Kylie Walker wound up with a 233 figure and tied for 54th overall, shooting a 77 in the last round after scores of 81 and 75 in the opening 36 holes of play on Monday.
Finally, the Bulldogs' Taylor Musselman came in 71st at 251 for the tourney. Her 54-hole score included rounds of 86 and 85 on Monday followed by an 80 in the last round.
The event wrapped up the fall portion of the schedule for the Bulldogs, who will resume their 2024-25 slate with competition for the spring starting in March.
