Ferris State Women's Golf To Compete In GLIAC Championships This Weekend
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team will compete in the 2025 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships Friday thru Sunday (April 25-27).
The event will be held again this year in Augusta, Mich., with action at Stonehedge North Golf Course near Battle Creek.
The 2025 GLIAC Championships will continue the format established five years ago with each league school competing in 36 holes of stroke play. The low four of five scores will count towards the respective team score for each squad.
Following round two, the top four teams will advance to head-to-head medal play on Saturday with a bracket format similar to the current format utilized at the NCAA Championships. The two winning teams following semifinal-round play will advance to the finals set for Sunday in which a GLIAC Champion will be crowned.
Gull Lake View Golf Club & Resort has become one of the largest golf resorts in the World, featuring six championship courses in one amazing destination. Golfers can play 18 holes a day for six days, without ever playing the same hole twice.
The women will tee off on Friday at the Stonehedge Golf Club's North Course beginning at 10 a.m. (ET).
Overall, the Bulldog women's golf squad has captured five GLIAC Championships in school history heading into the event and claimed the title two years ago before reaching the semifinals last season.
