Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's soccer team came out on the short end of a 4-0 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) road decision on Sunday (Oct. 14) against the Findlay Oilers at DeHaven Field in Findlay, Ohio.

The Bulldogs allowed only a single goal in the initial half, but the Oilers struck for three more in the final stanza en route to the league win.

Emily Beddoes put UF on the board first at 33:44 with a header off an assist by Megan Gallaway.

The Oilers added their second goal of the day at 57:09 when Sarah Silone was able to find the net on a kick off a header by Beddoes.

The final two Oiler goals both came from Beddoes in unassisted fashion.  The first was at 71:53 on a loose ball in the box with the second completing her hat trick only a couple minutes later at 74:08 on a breakaway goal.

Findlay gave up only five shots to the Bulldogs, including three on goal.  Meanwhile, the Oilers netted 14 shots in the game with 10 coming on goal.

Bulldog junior goalkeeper Rachel McCollum made six saves in taking the loss with Findlay's Kelsea Corns stopping three Bulldog chances.

UF also posted a 8-3 edge in corner kick chances and had eight fouls to six for the Bulldogs.

With the win, Findlay improved to 7-10-3 overall and 7-6-3 in league play.  The Bulldogs fell to 5-4-3 overall and 4-2-2 in the GLIAC.
