Ferris State's Bri Rogers Named GLIAC Soccer Offensive Player Of The Week

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University junior midfielder Bri Rogers (Livonia/Ladywood) has been chosen as this week's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Offensive Player of the Week.

Rogers tallied a team-high seven points as the Bulldogs swept Upper Peninsula foes Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech to start 2-0 in the GLIAC this past weekend.

The Bulldog standout had two goals and three assists with a penalty kick goal and eight shots in the two contests. Her penalty kick marker against NMU on Friday broke the school record for most penalty kick goals at FSU. In the same game, she also had three assists and totaled five points.

She came back on Sunday with a goal in FSU's 3-1 triumph over Michigan Tech and it came only 1:43 into the contest to help set the tone for the Bulldogs. For the weekend, she averaged 3.5 points per game as FSU improved to 8-1-1 overall this year.

Ferris State hits the road this weekend for two big GLIAC matchups. FSU first visits Saginaw Valley State on Friday (Oct. 11) for a 1 p.m. (ET) encounter before venturing to Ashland on Sunday (Oct. 13) with match time also set for 1 p.m. (ET) in Ohio.
