Big Rapids, Mich. - A trio of Ferris State University women's soccer standouts, who have helped lead the Bulldogs to their first-ever NCAA Division II national semifinal appearance, have claimed All-Midwest Region honors this fall as two different national outlets recently unveiled their all-region squads.

FSU senior forward Isabella Zamborini (Louisville, Ky.) was tabbed to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches NCAA D2 Women's All-Midwest Region First Team and also chosen for the 2022 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Midwest Region Second Team.

The Bulldogs had three honorees on the D2CCA All-Midwest Region Second Team as Zamborini was joined by senior back Nikki May (Brownstown) along with sophomore outside back Lindsay Cole (Grand Rapids).

Together, the trio has played a key role in leading FSU to the program's first-ever NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Championship this year and the school's deepest run ever in the NCAA D2 National Tournament. The Bulldogs are slated to face West Chester (Pa.) in the national semifinals on Thursday (Dec. 1) at 8 p.m. (ET) in Seattle, Wash.

The United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region teams were chosen by a committee of coaches from across the country while the D2CAA teams are nominated and voted on by the region's sports information directors.

Presently, Zamborini has a team-leading 32 points for the Bulldogs this year with 13 goals and six assists in addition to five game-winning goals. May has produced 13 points, which ranks second among the team leaders, on five goals and three assists with two game winner. Cole has provided a steady presence for one of the region's top defensive squads, posting five assists in 24 games played for the Bulldogs.

With a win on Thursday night in the national semifinals, the Bulldogs would advance to their first-ever NCAA Division II National Championship Game, which will be played on Saturday (Dec. 3) at 6 p.m. (ET) in Seattle.
