Women's Tennis Beats Previously Unbeaten Tiffin In Regional Road Contest

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad scored a big 4-3 regional win over the Tiffin Dragons on Sunday (Feb 23) at the Lakewood Racquet Club in Lexington, Ohio.

Tiffin entered the match unbeaten on the year at 7-0, but the Bulldogs pulled out the close win to finish their weekend trip to Ohio after previously beating Findlay on Friday evening.

In the win over the Dragons, the Bulldogs dropped the doubles point, but came back to win four of the six singles flights with all four victories coming in straight-sets at the first, third, fourth and sixth spots in the

FSU's Sam Stephenson clinched the win with a 6-0, 7-6 triumph at six singles.

The Bulldogs improved to 10-5 overall this year with the triumph and have now won four of their last five matches, including two of three this spring with the lone setback coming against NCAA Division I Northern Iowa.

Ferris State returns home to host Hillsdale in yet another regional tilt on Saturday at 3 p.m. (ET) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center before heading to Florida for spring break action March 9-13.
