Ferris State Women's Tennis Knocks Off NCAA Division I Bucknell At Home

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad scored a big win on Saturday (Oct. 14), topping NCAA Division I Bucknell by a 5-2 score inside the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

The Bulldogs continued their strong doubles play, taking all three matches for the initial point in the match.

In singles play, Ferris State went on to win four of the six flights for the 5-2 triumph over the Bisons.

"It was a big win over Bucknell," said FSU head coach Mark Doren. "We were without two of our lineup played due to illness, yet the depth of our team stepped up."

The match represented FSU's lone dual action of the fall and concluded the fall portion of the schedule for the Bulldogs. FSU will resume competition in the spring with play slated to start in February leading into the conference season beginning in March.
