2019 (Junior): Garnered All-America honors for the second year in a row ... Finished as both an all-conference and all-region award recipient ... Ranked as one of the country's top players ... Totaled 316 kills with 407 digs and 52 blocks in 29 matches ... Versatile performer with ability to play multiple roles ... Saw action in 109 total sets and hit .233 for the year.

2018 (Sophomore):
Earned All-America honors ... Was an all-region and all-conference choice ... Helped team win the GLIAC Championship and reach the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Semifinals ... Finished with 368 kills, 420 digs and 52 blcoks on the year ... Also had 16 aces and hit .247 for the campaign.

2017 (Freshman):
Played in 63 total sets and 25 matches for Ferris State, helped Bulldogs to their fourth consecutive GLIAC Championship Regular Season and Tournament Championship and third consecutive NCAA Regional appearance… had 37 kills and 87 digs on the season… had a season best of 9 kills against both Central Missouri and Lewis on 9/9 at the Midwest Crossover in Denver, Colo.

The standout hitter is the daughter of John and Gina O'Connell and led Chicago's Mother McAuley High School to the Illinois State Championship. Her squad finished the year ranked #1 in the high school ranks by PrepVolleyball.com. She served as a team captain during her senior campaign and was an all-conference choice. The 6-0 O'Connell tallied 334 kills with 434 digs, 21 aces and 48 total blocks while hitting .302 overall in 42 matches as a senior while leading Mother McAuley to a 40-1 overall record. Her team claimed three regional championships during her career and twice won conference and sectional titles. She played club volleyball for Michio Chicago and comes from a volleyball family as her mother played for the University of St. Francis and her brother, J.T., played at St. Xavier University. The three-time all-academic choice was a National Honor Society member and a scholar-athlete.
