PRO CONTRACT! Ferris State Volleyball Standout Olivia Henneman-Dallape Inks Professional Contract

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University women's volleyball senior outside hitter Olivia Henneman-Dallape (Oregon, Ohio), who led the Bulldogs to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight this past fall, has signed a professional contract to play overseas in Finland.

The Bulldog standout inked a deal with Pölkky Kuusamo and will begin her professional career with the organization in the coming week. Henneman-Dallape was the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II National Player of the Week this season for FSU, which concluded a historic campaign with a 34-1 overall record.

"I'm super excited to be able to continue doing the sport I love, traveling and meeting new people," said Henneman-Dallape. "I love winning and team work. This is a great opportunity to continue developing as a player while learning more about Finland.

Henneman-Dallape will complete Pölkky Kuusamo's roster for the spring and joins another former Bulldog standout in Megan Vander Meer, who has played overseas since her Ferris State career ended in 2015, as a professional.

This past fall, along with being the AVCA National Player of the Year, Henneman-Dallape also earned AVCA All-America First Team honors, claiming her second career All-America nod. She led FSU to the NCAA Division II National Quarterfinals under head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm. Henneman-Dallape was the first FSU player ever to claim the National Player of the Year distinction.

As a senior, Henneman-Dallape notched a team-leading 5-2 kills to go with 172 digs, 84 total blocks and 15 service aces. She averaged 4.22 kills per set and posted a .328 attack percentage, ranking among the national leaders in several statistical categories. She also closed her collegiate career among the school's all-time greats with 1,626 kills, 422 digs and 286 blocks in 143 career matches over the past five seasons of play.

In her final season, Henneman-Dallape also earned several other honors, including the GLIAC Player of the Year distinction, the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Year honor and the Midwest Region Player of the Year honor. She was also tabbed as the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) National Player of the Year.

Along with earning a trip to the NCAA D2 Elite Eight, the Bulldogs also captured the GLIAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships along with the NCAA D2 Midwest Regional Championship this past fall while being ranked as the number one team in the country.
