A 2010 graduate of Sanford-Meridian High School . . . Named Co-MVP of 2009 Midland Daily News Dream Team . . . Also played running back in the prep ranks . . . One of his prep assistant coaches was former FSU defensive back Nick Beaudry . . . Tallied 71 tackles and a forced fumble as a senior . . . Helped team to a number two state ranking and school-record nine wins in 2009 . . . Coached by Keith Schulte . . . His father, Mike, was an assistant coach at Northwood . . . Three-year varsity player . . . Ran for 1,445 yards and 20 TD's as a senior  . . . Division 5-6 Honorable Mention All-State . . . Plans to major in Pharmacy.
