Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University senior football
player Chris Wilson will offer Bulldog fans and
others around the world an inside look this season as he embarks on
his final campaign.
The 6-7 Bulldog receiver, who is a FSU television and digital
media production student, has debuted a new online blog titled,
"Chris Wilson's Road to Success".
The blog can be found at www.chriswilsonroadtosuccess.blogspot.com and will be
updated throughout the season with posts, video, photos and
more.
Wilson's "Road to Success" site follows his everyday life as a
student-athlete and young father at FSU.
The recently-launched site presently includes the opening video of
a six-part series' called "Chasing the Dream: Pursuing Excellence
as a Man, a Student, an Athlete and a Dad".
In addition to his work as a student-athlete, Wilson has also
worked as a student in the University Advancement and Marketing
Office at FSU. He plans to graduate in December.
The Hingsville, Ga., native appeared in nine games during the 2009
season and ranked fourth on the squad with 16 catches for 207 yards
(12.9 average) and two touchdowns. Presently, he's played in
22 games over the course of his Bulldog career and totaled 29
receptions for 364 yards with four TD's and a 12.6 yards per catch
average.
The sixth-year senior missed the entire 2008 campaign due to
injury before having his most productive season as a Bulldog player
last fall. Previously, he started seven contests during the
2007 season.
Wilson was a two-time All-Southern Georgia Conference pick at Long
County High School and twice was chosen as his team's Wide Receiver
of the Year.
Wilson and the returning Bulldog veterans will report to camp
Thursday (Aug. 12) with the first official practice of the 2010
season set for Friday (Aug. 13).
