Big Rapids, Mich. - The annual college football national signing day is scheduled for this coming Wednesday (Feb. 5) and once again the Ferris State University football program will take part in the nationwide festivities as NCAA Division II's winningest active coach Tony Annese and his staff announces his ninth class of incoming recruits.

This year's expected stellar class comes on the heels of another outstanding season as the Bulldogs reached the NCAA Division II National Semifinals for the third time in four years this past fall. FSU closed the year with a 12-1 overall mark and ranks as the country's winningest program over the past six seasons in D2 Football.

Ferris State will hold a national signing day press conference on the third floor of the Wheeler Pavilion at Top Taggart Field starting at approximately 2 p.m. (ET).

Local, regional and statewide media are welcome and encouraged to attend the national signing day event. It will also be streamed live online in high-definition via the Bulldog Sports Network at FerrisStateBulldogs.com in addition to coverage on both Twitter and Facebook @FerrisFootball.

In addition to the announcement of this year's signing class, Coach Annese will be on hand during the press conference to provide comments about this year's National Letter-of-Intent signees as well as take questions from media members in attendance.

A complete list of Bulldog Football recruits and biographical information will be posted online at FerrisStateBulldogs.com following the event along with various highlights, photos, comments from Coach Annese and coverage throughout the day.

In addition to the announcement of this year's signing class, a video package featuring Coach Annese discussing this year's National Letter-of-Intent signees will also be part of FSU's "Signing Day" Central platform.

Ferris State fans are also encouraged to follow the Bulldogs' official football social media accounts for updates throughout the day at www.facebook.com/FerrisFootball or @FerrisFootball on twitter.

This past fall, along with reaching the national semifinals, FSU also claimed a second-straight GLIAC Championship with an unblemished league record. This past year marked the Bulldogs' fourth-straight trip to the national quarterfinals or beyond, which is the longest streak in the country. Thes national semifinal contest marked the first-ever semifinal played at home for the Bulldogs and the latest game ever played in a year at Top Taggart Field. Over the past two seasons, the Bulldogs have compiled a 27-2 mark.

Over the last six seasons at Ferris State, the Bulldogs have compiled a 72-9 overall record and claimed four conference championships, posted four unbeaten regular-seasons, captured three regional titles and reached the national quarterfinals four times. Ferris State has also accumulated three Harlon Hill National Player of the Year trophies, twice had a student-athlete tabbed as the nation's National Scholar-Athlete of the Year and won 12 postseason games in addition to an appearance in the 2018 National Championship game.

The Bulldogs are one of only four teams in all of college football at any NCAA level to win 11 games each of the last six years along with Alabama, Ohio State and North Dakota State. FSU is also the only D2 team in the country to reach the national quarterfinals for four consecutive years and the Bulldogs' six-straight playoff appearances is the second-longest longest streak in the nation.

Ferris State also holds the GLIAC's best mark and the best overall record of all 21 collegiate programs in Michigan at 87-16 overall since the arrival of Annese as head coach in 2012.
