SOLD OUT! 41st Annual Ferris State Football Golf Outing Expecting Huge Turnout This Saturday

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University's 41st annual Football Golf Outing, which is set to take place this Saturday (June 24) at Clear Lake Golf Club near Big Rapids, is officially SOLD OUT as the Bulldogs are again expecting another huge turnout for the afternoon event.

The four-person shotgun scramble, which is sponsored by the FSU Gridiron Club in conjunction with the Bulldog Athletic Association (BAA), serves as one of the Ferris State football program's primary fundraising events.

The Bulldog Football golf outing returns to Clear Lake for the 10th-straight year and has had a strong turnout each and every year, which has helped create momentum for FSU's eight consecutive NCAA postseason playoff appearances and back-to-back NCAA D2 National Championships.

The golf outing will get underway with registration and lunch on June 24 starting at 10:30 a.m. (ET). The rules meeting will begin shortly after with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. (ET). Following golf will be a cocktail hour with the evening dinner served in the clubhouse at Clear Lake at approximately 6 p.m. (ET). Door prizes, auction, raffle and awards will follow the evening meal with a social at Buffalo Wild Wings in Big Rapids later in the evening. A great package of team and individual prizes will be awarded for winners in several divisions.

While the golf outing is sold out, several sponsorship packages remain available for those wishing to support the Bulldogs and the Gridiron Club membership drive is also currently underway for the 2023 season. Contributions and proceeds from the event directly contribute to the continued success of the Ferris State football program.

Last fall, the Bulldogs captured a second consecutive NCAA Division II National Championship, finishing with a 14-1 overall record. Over the past two seasons of action, the Bulldogs own a 28-1 overall record and FSU has reached the NCAA Division II Playoffs eight consecutive years and counting. Ferris State has also reached the NCAA Division II National Semifinals five times in the past six seasons of action and ranks as the country's winningest program over the past eight full seasons in D2 Football. FSU is 55-3 over the last three seasons of on-field action.

The Bulldogs are also the country's preseason #1 team heading into the 2023 campaign according to Lindy's Sports.
