Ferris State To Take Part In GLIAC Football Media Day This Thursday In Grand Rapids

Big Rapids, Mich. – The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) will hold its annual Football Media Day presented by FloSports on Thursday, August 1, at the Sheraton Grand Rapids Airport Hotel in Grand Rapids, Mich.
The GLIAC will provide exclusive coverage of the event, which will include a reveal of the 2024 preseason coaches' poll and interviews with players and coaches.
ESPN3/ESPN Plus broadcaster Adam Jaksa will host the 2024 GLIAC Football Media Day, which is scheduled to begin at 12:50 p.m. (ET) with opening comments from GLIAC Commissioner Kris Dunbar. The interview portion of the event will be streamed live on FloSports and on the GLIAC's YouTube Channel:
1:15 p.m.: Michigan Tech (HC Dan Mettlach, QB Alex Fries, LB Marc Sippel)

2:15 p.m.: Grand Valley State (HC Scott Wooster, OL Gabe Brown, DB Ian Kennelly)
2:30 p.m.: Roosevelt (HC Jared Williamson, DL Luke Desherow, WR Keonta Nixon)
2:45 p.m.: Saginaw Valley State (HC Ryan Brady, LB Micah Cretsinger, OL Connor Cracchiolo)
3:00 p.m.: Wayne State (HC Tyrone Wheatley, DT Gus Taylor, G/T Charles Wesley)
Ferris State and Grand Valley State enter the 2024 season ranked No. 4 and No. 7 nationally, respectively, according to Lindy's Sports.
GLIAC football action gets underway in late August with three games on the schedule -- Michigan Tech at Bemidji State (Aug. 29), Northern Michigan vs. Minnesota-Duluth (Aug. 29) and No. 4 Ferris State at No. 3 Pittsburg State (Aug. 31).
The Bulldogs, who captured both the 2021 and 2022 NCAA D2 National Championships, will be represented at GLIAC Football Media Day by a pair of veterans in senior receiver Tyrese Hunt-Thompson (Casspolis) and senior linebacker Sefa Saipaia (Canton, Ohio) along with two-time National Coach of the Year Tony Annese. The Bulldogs have made the NCAA Division II Playoffs a nation-leading nine consecutive years entering the 2024 campaign.
