*2009-10 Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Coaches' Poll Release (5/24/10)* PDF

The Ferris State University men's golf team will conclude the 2009-10 season ranked tied for 24th place nationally as the Bulldogs gained a spot among the Top 25 in the fifth and final Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Coaches' Poll of the 2010 spring season.

The Bulldogs, who are presently competing at the 2010 NCAA-II Men's Golf Championships (May 18-21) at The Sagamore Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind., moved up into 24th place with Cameron (Okla.) after not being ranked in the previous poll.  The final rankings were released this Wednesday (May 19) as FSU recorded 55 points in the voting.

The national poll combines the resources of Golf Digest's Golf World magazine, Nike Golf, and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Ferris State, which is directed by third-year head coach Mike Migano, has either won or tied for top team honors in four tournaments while placing among the top three teams in nine of its 11 2009-10 tournaments to date.  The Bulldogs claimed third place at the 2010 NCAA-II Midwest/South Central Super Regional (May 3-5) with a three-round 908 stroke total to qualify for nationals.

Barry (Fla.) held down the top position with a first-place 324 points total and captured 12 of the 13 first-place votes.

The final 2010 spring season national poll will appear in the May 24th issue of Golf World and can be viewed online now at www.golfdigest.com.
