Ferris State Men's & Women's Golf Teams To Compete In GLIAC Championships This Weekend
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's golf teams will compete in the 2017 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships Friday thru Sunday (April 21-23).
The event will be held at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio, beginning on Friday and finishing on Sunday with 18 holes being played each day. This year will mark the first time in which both tournaments have been held at the same venue at the same time.
The 2017 GLIAC Championships will consist of 54 holes as the teams will play one round per day. The low four of five scores will count towards the respective team score for each squad.

Overall, the Bulldog men's golf squad has captured 19 GLIAC Men's Golf Championships in school history while the women's team owns four league crowns to date.
This season, the two teams have combined to win five tournaments and place among the top eight teams in tournament competition a total of 17 times under first-year head coach Kyle Wittenbach.
The nationally-ranked men's squad has four wins plus a dual victory while finishing in the top eight in all 10 events this year. Meanwhile, the women's squad has claimed a tourney title and also placed among the top eight squads in seven competitions this campaign.
