Bulldog Men's Golf Matches Opening Round Score In Final Round Of Motor City Invite

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's golf team matched its first-round score in the final round as play wrapped up on Monday (Oct. 11) at the Motor City Invitational held in Dearborn.

The Bulldogs carded a 303 team score for the second consecutive day and moved up a spot to finish 12th overall at the TPC of Michigan course. FSU closed the event with a 606 total, finishing at +30 for the 36-hole event.

Ferris State was led in the tournament by Nathan Kraynyk, who shot back-to-back 73 scores at one-over par each day to place tied for 27th in the field individually with a 146 total.

The Bulldogs' Joshua Jeffords carded a 75 in the final round and placed tied for 43rd overall with a 152 figure. He previously shot a first-round 77 on Sunday.

FSU's Zach Koerner also shot a 75 in the final round, improving his score by five strokes over his opening round 80, and finished tied for 53rd with a 155 score for the two rounds.

Meanwhile, Trent Barth was only two strokes back with a 157 final score, which was good for a share of 64th place. He shot a 82 on Monday after an initial round of 75 in the opening 18 holes of the tournament.

Finally, Andrew Proctor wound up tied for 68th at 158 for the 36 holes and came in with an 80 on Monday following his first-round 78 mark.

The Bulldogs will close out the fall portion of their 2021-22 season by taking part in the Davenport Panther Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 16-17.
