Ferris State Cross Country Wraps Up Fall Season At NCAA Regional Championships

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State men's and women's cross country squads wrapped up the fall season at the 2022 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Cross Country Championships hosted on Saturday (Nov. 19) at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, Wis.

The Bulldog women's squad placed ninth overall of 33 squads in a strong top 10 finish while the men's team claimed 16th place overall in a competitive field.

FSU was led by sophomore Danae Feldpausch in 39th place on the women's side as she clocked 22:47.01 on the 6K course. Hanna Brock was close behind in 42nd place (22:49.89) with Whitney Farrell 45th (22:51.39) as the Bulldogs placed three in the top 50 individually overall.

Ferris State's Melanea Strauss placed 58th (23:05.69) with Sydney Kubiak 69th (23:15.51). Jessica Durkee came in 120th (24:04.62) with Daisy Englund 123rd (24:09.00).

The men's squad was paced by Donis Harris in 58th place, clocking 32:41.07 on the 10K course. Noah Griffith took 78th place (33:03.90) with Brandon Wirth 107th (33:32.19) and junior Dan Hardesty 108th (33:35.04).

FSU's Kevin Wilson came in 119th (33:48.39) while Brendan Cairney placed 122nd (33:53.34) followed by Ethan Hamilton in 183rd place (36:38.79).
