Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University Athletics has announced two key personnel moves in the area of Athletics Performance by the elevating of Dave Cencer to Coordinator of Athletics Performance and the hiring of John Hammersmith as the Bulldogs’ first-ever full-time strength and conditioning coach, according to an announcement made today by FSU Athletics Director Perk Weisenburger.

The Ferris State University women's basketball team wrapped up its 2016-17 season with a 68-49 setback to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) rival Grand Valley State on Thursday (Feb. 23) night at FSU's Jim Wink Arena. FSU Junior guard Leah Humes led all scorers with 18 points and pulled down four rebounds while junior forward Rachel McInerney chipped in 12 points and five rebounds to go with three blocks.

The Ferris State University women's basketball team fell in a tightly contested contest by the final score of 74-64 to the Michigan Tech Huskies in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play on Saturday (Feb. 18) at Jim Wink Arena. Junior forward Rachel McInerney paced all scorers and rebounders in the game with 20 points and eight boards, to go with four assists and a blocked shot. Sophomore guard Alexis Bush chipped in 12 points with four assists in the game as well.
