Ferris State Women's Golf To Compete For GLIAC Championship This Weekend

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team will compete in the 2015 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships Friday thru Sunday (April 24-26) in Findlay, Ohio.

The GLIAC Championship is being held at the Findlay Country Club and being hosted by the University of Findlay.

A 54-hole format for the tournament will take place with 18 holes each day on the par 72 course measuring 6,007 yards.

Ashland, Ferris State, Findlay, Grand Valley State, Lake Erie, Lake Superior State, Malone, Northwood, Ohio Dominican, Tiffin, Walsh and Wayne State will compete in the event.

Tee times for round one will start on Friday at 9 a.m. (ET) with round two slated for a 12 p.m. (ET) start on Saturday. The final round begins on Sunday again at 9 a.m. (ET) to wrap up the event.

This spring, the Bulldogs have progressively improved their standing in each tournament with a fourth-place performance this past weekend at the Cav Classic hosted by Walsh University in Canton, Ohio. FSU has four top 10 team finishes overall this spring.

Following the GLIAC Championships, official participants for the NCAA Division II Championships will be announced via ncaa.com next week with the NCAA-II East Regional set for May 3-5 in Chicago, Ill.
