FSU Women's Golf Improves By Six Strokes In Round Two At Keiser Cup

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team lowered its score by six strokes in day two play on Monday (March 6) at the 2023 Keiser Cup held at the Okeeheelee Golf Course in Florida.

The Bulldogs shot a 321 team total in Monday's second round action after opening with a 327 mark on Sunday and are currently fifth overall in the field with a total of 648 to date. All four teams ahead of FSU on the leaderboard are from Southern schools, including three from Florida and one from Texas.

Host Keiser University continues to hold the lead after 36 holes of competition with a 608 total.

FSU's Dani Staskowski is presently tied for sixth individually with a 156 stroke total following round two. She shot a 79 in round one and came back with a 77 over Monday's 18 holes of action.

The Bulldogs' Kamryn Shannon sits tied for 16th in the field at 162 on rounds of 80 Sunday along with 82 on Monday.

Next, the Bulldogs' Alayna Eldred shot a 79 on Monday on the heels of an 86 in round one and is now 21st overall with a 165 score. She's followed by Lizzie Anderson in a share of 24th place at 167 overall. Anderson shot an 85 Monday to go with her first-round 82 figure.

Finally, Abby Grevel is tied for 26th on the leaderboard at 169 for the tournament, carding an 83 on day two following an 86 for the first round.

The third and final round begins on Tuesday at 8 a.m. (ET) with a shotgun start.
