Ferris State Women's Golf Moves Up To Fourth Place On Final Day At Keiser Cup

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team climbed up a spot on the final day as competition wrapped up at The Keiser Cup on Tuesday (March 7) at the Okeeheelee Golf Course in Florida.

The Bulldogs placed fourth overall for the three days of action, carding a 317 mark over the final 18 holes of play to finish at 965 for the 54 holes of action. FSU had shot a 327 on day one followed by a 321 on Monday before notching its best score of the event in Tuesday's final round on the par 72 course measuring 5,813 yards.

FSU finished the highest of any non-Florida school in the six-team event.

Ferris State was led by Dani Staskowski, who placed tied for seventh in the field individually with a 233 figure. After shooting a 79 in round one, she closed with back-to-back 77 scores over the final two rounds.

Meanwhile, Kamryn Shannon was next in line as she finished 18th overall with a 243 total. Shannon shot an 80 in round one followed by an 82 in the second round and an 81 on Tuesday.

FSU's Alayna Eldred wound up tied for 20th in the field at 245 overall. After shooting an 86 in the first round, Eldred notched a 79 in round two and an 80 in the final round.

The Bulldogs' Abby Grevel finished 23rd overall at 248 on rounds of 86, 83 and 79 over the three days of competition.

Finally, FSU's Lizzie Anderson came in tied for 25th with a 251 figure. She shot an 82 in round one followed by an 85 in the second round and an 84 in the final round.

The Bulldogs are next slated to compete in the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational on March 18-19 in Georgetown, Ky.
