Bulldog Women's Golf Fourth Overall After Day One At NC4K College Classic

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team opened action at the annual NC4K College Classic on Monday (April 8), shooting a 309 team score in day one action at the event in Grove City, Ohio.

The Bulldogs sit fourth overall follwoing the opening round as FSU shot a +21 team figure in round one of the tournament at the Pinnacle Golf Club. The par 72 course measured in at 5,801 total yards.

Ferris State is one shot behind Saginaw Valley State, which came in third with a +20 total. Indianapolis holds the day one lead with a +8 score (296) followed by Ashland at +14 (302) overall in the 14-team field.

The Bulldogs were led on Monday by Lizzie Anderson, who shot a 73 and is tied for third on the leaderboard. Dani Staskowski carded a 75 and is tied for seventh overall.

Meanwhile, FSU's Kamryn Shannon notched a 79 in the first 18 holes of play and is tied for 20th while Hallie Crozier carded an 82 and is tied for 34th.

Ferris State's Taylor Musselman shot a 85 in the opening round and sits tied for 47th in the field while Abby Grevel is tied for 55th with a first-round 88 score.

Day two action is set for Tuesday (April 9) at the event hosted by Ohio Dominican University.
