Bulldogs Close Regular-Season With Setback
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad closed out its 2011-12 regular-season campaign with a 6-3 setback in regional action to Lewis (Ill.) on Tuesday (March 13) afternoon at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.
The match, which was played outdoors, was the final regular-season contest scheduled for the Bulldogs this season.
Ferris State dropped to 12-9 overall this year with the setback to the Flyers, who improved to 9-1 on the season with the victory.
The Flyers bolted out to a 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles round and took the top half of the singles lineup as FSU's three wins on the day came at the fourth, fifth and sixth singles spots.
A total of seven Bulldogs competed in the match to factor into the team scoring.
