Women's Tennis Closes Road Swing With Upper Peninsula Win
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State women's tennis team closed out its three-match Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) road swing with a hard-fought 5-4 league road win at Michigan Tech on Saturday (Sept. 29) in Houghton.
The Bulldogs trailed 2-1 following doubles play, but came back to win the bottom four singles positions to take the match.
The four wins included a three-set triumph at sixth singles by FSU's Julia Fusik.
With the win, Ferris State improved to 7-3 overall and in league play while MTU fell to 6-4 overall and 3-4 in the GLIAC.
The Bulldogs are on the road at rival Grand Valley State for a league road encounter on Wednesday (Oct. 3) starting at 3 p.m. (ET) in Allendale.
