Ferris State Drops Narrow Decision To Davenport In Regular-Season Finale

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team dropped a close 5-4 non-conference decision to visiting Davenport on Friday (April 8) in the Bulldogs' 2015-16 regular-season finale at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.
The Panthers won the top two doubles flights to take a 2-1 lead heading into singles action and then completed the triumph by splitting the six singles positions.
Ferris State posted wins at the third doubles flight along with the bottom three singles positions as DU narrowly held on for the win. Four of the six singles positions went to three-sets.
The match served as FSU's Senior Day encounter and was the final regular-season outing for the Bulldogs, who are ranked ninth in the Midwest Region and will now await the official NCAA Tournament selections set to be announced at the end of the month.
FSU holds a 15-9 overall mark to date this campaign.
