Host Northwood Sweeps Bulldogs In GLIAC Women's Tennis Tilt

Midland, Mich. - Host Northwood jumped out to an early edge and topped Ferris State 9-0 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action on Saturday (Sept. 17) at the Midland Community Tennis Center.

The Timberwolves swept the doubles round against the Bulldogs and then claimed all six singles flights in the battle between the two longtime GLIAC rivals.

All three doubles matches were decided by identical 8-2 scores with each singles match determined in straight-sets.

The Bulldogs dropped to 1-2 overall this season with the league setback.

Ferris State will be back in action on Sunday (Sept. 18) as FSU visits Saginaw Valley State for a 10 a.m. (ET) league tilt in University Center, Mich.
