Ferris State Women's Tennis Wins Close Decision On Road In GLIAC Play

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad jumped out to an early advantage and held on for a close 5-4 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) road decision over Wayne State on Saturday (Oct. 1) in Detroit, Mich.

The Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead following the doubles round and then split the six singles matches in the victory.

Four of the six singles matches went to third sets with FSU prevailing in two of them while improving to 3-2 overall and in GLIAC action this campaign.

Both Nicole Meylor and Arien Kissinger were double winners on the day for the Bulldogs.

The win was the third in the last four outings this season for Ferris State.

Ferris State wraps up its weekend road swing as the Bulldogs visit Hillsdale on Sunday (Oct. 2) for a 1 p.m. (ET) league encounter in Hillsdale, Mich.
