Bulldog Volleyball Gets Back On Track With Road Win At Parkside

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's volleyball squad got back on track on Saturday (Oct. 22) as FSU rolled to a 3-1 road win over the Parkside Rangers at De Simone Arena in Kenosha, Wis.

The Bulldogs won the opening two sets 25-23 and 25-19 before Parkside grabbed a 25-22 win in a tight third set. However, FSU finished off the win by claiming a 25-22 triumph in the fourth.

Olivia Henneman-Dallape paced the Bulldogs with a team-high 17 kills while Emma Bleecher added 10 kills. Both Syann Fairfield and Claire Nowicki tallied eight kills apiece in the victory.

Nowicki led FSU with 19 digs and Leah Bylut added 18 digs for the Bulldogs. Ferris State also received 15 digs from Bleecher to go with 12 by Alina Anderson and 11 from Kaylee Maat, who added 40 assists and a squad-best three service aces.

The Bulldogs hit .176 for the afternoon and produced 48 kills with 21 attack errors on 153 attempts. FSU also had 81 digs and netted nine service aces with eight service errors. The Bulldogs finished with 12 block assists and a solo block at the net.

Reese Rossnagel led Parkside with a match-high 20 kills, but the Rangers were limited to a .136 attack percentage overall and also had 13 service errors in the setback.

Ferris State is now 16-9 overall and holds a first-place 11-2 mark in the GLIAC.

The Bulldogs will host Lake Superior State on Monday (Oct. 24) in a special noon match inside Wink Arena with local elementary school students slated to be in attendance.
