Ticket Prices and Match Times Set For NCAA D2 Midwest Regional Volleyball Tourney

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ticket prices and match times have been set as the Ferris State University women's volleyball squad gets set to compete in the 2023 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Volleyball Tournament, which takes place next Thursday thru Saturday (Nov. 30-Dec. 2) in St. Louis, Mo.

Ferris State, which is seeded second overall in the field, will go up against the tourney's number-seven seed Hillsdale on Thursday, Nov. 30, in quarterfinal-round action at the Mark Twain Athletic Center on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus. It will be the second of four quarterfinal matches at 3:30 p.m. (ET).

Top-seeded UMSL will host the single-elimination regional tournament next Thursday to Saturday. Semifinals will take place on Friday night with the championship match on Saturday.

Tickets for the regional tournament are $8 for adults, $5 for students with ID along with seniors. All children under age five are free. Tickets can be purchased in advanced online at https://vivenu.com/seller/university-of-missouri-st-louis-mp8k.

Additionally, all matches from the regional tournament will be streamed live on a pay-per-view basis thru the NCAA's new partnership with HUDL. Links will be provided at FerrisStateBulldogs.com. Users will be able to access content thru NCAA.com or the "NCAA Championship Pass" OTT app available on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Google TV devices. The cost is $9.95 per contest or $29.95 for all Division II Volleyball Championship contests.

Ferris State will be making its 12th consecutive NCAA Tournament bid, not counting the 2020 season in which no event was held due to COVID-19, and has advanced to at least the regional semifinals 10 of the past 11 years. FSU's upcoming regional appearance will represent the program's 27th all-time as the Bulldogs have compiled a 23-27 overall record in NCAA Tournament competition.

Ferris State, which is coached by 28th-year head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm, is presently 25-7 overall this campaign and won the 2023 GLIAC Tournament Championship on Sunday (Nov. 19), beating rival Grand Valley State 3-1 on the Lakers' home floor in Allendale to earn the program's 10th league tourney title in school history and ninth in the past 10 seasons.

The Bulldogs finished the regular-season as the GLIAC Runner-Up with a 15-3 league mark.

The Division II Women's Volleyball Committee selected a total of 64 teams to participate in the 2023 Division II Women's Volleyball Championship. Eight teams were selected from each of the following eight regions: Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West.

The eight, eight-team regionals will be played at on-campus sites. Regional competition will be single-elimination, best three-of-five-set matches and will not include a third-place match. The winners of each of the eight regionals will advance to the finals, Dec. 7-9, in Moon Township, Pa. Competition at the finals site will be single-elimination; best three-of-five-set matches.

The Bulldogs captured the Midwest Regional Championship in 2013 to advance to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight and the national quarterfinal round. FSU has advanced to the Sweet Sixteen four times in the past seven years, including each of the past two seasons.
